PFLAG Oakland-East Bay is a local chapter of PFLAG National, celebrating 45 years as the nation’s largest family and ally organization uniting people who are LGBTQ+ with families, friends, and allies. PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy.
We have 2 monthly meetings - one in Oakland, one in Berkeley. We organize and participate in community activities furthering equality, affirmation, and respect for all people, inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender expression, and gender identity.
We look forward to welcoming you!

2 Monthly Meetings!

3rd Mondays, 7-9pm:
Oakland LGBT Community Center
3207 Lakeshore Ave (Entrance on Rand), Oakland

June 18th: Join us for a panel discussion on LGBTQ+ representation in kids’ books! What’s available? Whose stories and voices are missing? What makes representation ‘affirming’ - or NOT? And, learn how you can join the Oakland Education Fund’s LGBTQ+ Read-In June 25-29! Come just for the panel 7-8pm - or, if want, stay for our PFLAG social/support time 8-9.

4th Tuesdays (not Dec) 7-9 pm
St. John's Presbyterian Church
2727 College Avenue, Berkeley

June 26th: As our loved ones come out as trans, it can bring up a lot of questions; questions that we might not feel comfortable asking our loved ones or ones the internet just can’t answer or questions about what the future might hold as your trans loved one transitions. Our Tuesday June 26th meeting will give you the chance to ask some of these questions. For the first hour of our meeting, we will have a 3 person panel Q&A. They will be answering questions and sharing about their experiences with coming out and transitioning.
