PFLAG Oakland-East Bay is a local chapter of PFLAG National, celebrating 45 years as the nation’s largest family and ally organization uniting people who are LGBTQ+ with families, friends, and allies. PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy.
We have 2 monthly meetings - one in Oakland, one in Berkeley. We organize and participate in community activities furthering equality, affirmation, and respect for all people, inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender expression, and gender identity.
We look forward to welcoming you!

2 Monthly Meetings!

3rd Mondays, 7-9pm:
Oakland LGBT Community Center
3207 Lakeshore Ave (Entrance on Rand), Oakland

March 19, we'll be watching the film "Real Boy". After the film, we'll talk in small groups about the film, share about our own journeys, listen to each other, and offer support. Discussions are confidential, and no one is required to speak or share - participants are free just to listen and ask questions if that is best for them.

4th Tuesdays (not Aug or Dec) 7-9 pm
St. John's Presbyterian Church
2727 College Avenue, Berkeley

March 27th, come hear speakers Kenneth Boozer and Kevin Pete, co-owners of Family of Choice Home Care. Family of Choice helps LGBTQ+ older adults age with dignity and ease in their own homes. They will present and answer questions for the first hour of our meeting. After a break for visiting and refreshments, we'll dedicate the final portion of our meeting to discussion and support.
